Vertical Plains Climbing Competition
Vertical Plains is an annual indoor climbing competition hosted at Texas Tech University. It is hosted by Texas Tech Outdoor Pursuits, the university’s outdoor program. For this design, I stylized the name of the event into the shape of a carabiner, a climbing tool that is synonymous with the sport. The secondary logo is a monogram that abstractly depicts a windmill; the event has traditionally used windmill imagery to as it is a symbol of the Texas high plains region. (2017)
